One question I have as I remember back on the build up to Generals 2 was the fact that the game was going to have a campaign and story, then suddenly it was decided that “Hey, let’s build a multiplayer only Command & Conquer” and then see what happens instead as seen within the video below…
Many can argue that this might have been the sane route to go given the fact these were the best strengths of Command & Conquer Generals as well as the even more popular and endlessly playable Zero Hour. But should they have strayed away when Command & Conquer had its roots in Campaign mode from the start?
That’s a question I will continue to ask myself and it’s probably what any future Generals 2 developer should ask themselves when attempting a revival. Or am I off base?
